Whistle Cessation moves to next step

On Monday September 28, at the General Government Committee meeting, it was moved by Councillor Neal that $750,000 is taken out of the Rate Stabilization Fund for the purposes of whistle cessation; and that staff proceed with all necessary steps in order for whistle cessation at those crossings to be approved by Transport Canada. Seconded by Councillor Traill. The motion received a yes by Councillor Jones and Councillor Anderson. Councillor Hooper, Councillor Zwart and Mayor Foster voted against it. The motion carried.
