Mike Robinson likes a challenge. A number of years ago, when he and his wife spent weekends coming from Brampton to visit their daughter in Newcastle, they noticed that “most of the restaurants that existed were always booked up for space,” he says. “And I got a little frustrated and realized we hadn’t seen any Caribbean restaurants around.”
