Marge Freethy has lived in the same house in Newcastle for 56 years. She has witnessed the “tremendous change”, particularly in development of the town. Houses, where there used to be fields, and roads, where there were none. Sewers, where there were septic tanks. The transition from a town to the Regional Municipality of Durham and the Municipality of Clarington.
