The Locals: Anne Bickell makes a seamless transition from automotive to quilt shop

If you thought the energizer bunny had boundless amounts of energy, take a look at Anne Bickell. After working 42 years in the automotive supply business, Bickell’s idea of retirement, or “rewirement” to be more accurate in this case, was to open a quilt shop, teaching quilting classes and running a full-time business with her daughter Ashley. Annie’s Quilt Shop. “I’m here at least four and sometimes five days a week,” she says with a grin.
