The scene is the residential neighbourhood known as ‘The Port’ to Newcastle residents. The unusual sight that beheld them last Thursday night, was the presence of a large, Mute Swan who seemed to be in some difficulty. People began posting on facebook that the swan seemed to be approaching passers by, taking a few tentative steps toward them, then stopping to sit down. Enter Team Chelsea volunteer Keesha Strong, who noticed those posts and took immediate action.
