This past Sunday the Port Neighbourhood Watch hosted a Pumpkin Giveaway for the PNW carving contest. The pumpkins were donated by NoFrills in Newcastle. Over the past two winters the financial burden for setting up and maintaining the Pearce Farm Park skating rink has been taken care of by Alycia and Alex Underhill (the organizing family), pictured with their son Callum. The PNW were kindly asking for voluntary donations for the pumpkins and sold raffle tickets with all proceeds going towards the operating costs of this amazing community asset.
