Second generation egg farmers get cracking on a new egg barn

“On Wednesday, we’ll have 25,400 chickens,” says Brenda Metcalf looking across the aisle at her husband Ron as they lead a tour of their newly completed state-of-the-art egg barn in Tyrone last week. Imagine feeding 25,000 hens per day and collecting 25,000 eggs per day, jobs that in the past would have taken many, many hours and hours and are now fully automated.
