Bundled up in layers and layers of fluff and wool to stave off the cold, with a thermos of mostly tepid hot chocolate at hand. Cheeks and eyes aglow. Shrinking back a bit perhaps from those unpredictable clowns before surging forward in vibrating excitement as the sounds of “ho, ho, ho” float forward on the breeze. Nothing truly marks the start of the holiday season so much as the arrival of Santa Claus being pulled by eight tiny reindeer through Village streets.
