I’ve been feeling kind of ‘meh’ lately. Anyone else? Two years of being stuck in a Groundhog Day Syndrome-esque life, feeling that you’re reliving the same day over and over again. Nothing has changed, and it seems as though you’re doing an identical routine every single day and week.
To be honest, couldn’t put my finger on it. It wasn’t burnout, as I still had energy. It wasn’t depression — I didn’t feel hopeless, just felt stagnant. As if you’re muddling through your days, looking at your life through a foggy windshield. And all while time is just whizzing by.
Well, I found a sure-fire cure to get out of my funk – looking through boxes of your kids’ school work from the primary years. My favourite boxes are Kindergarten through to Grade 3. Although very entertaining and heart warming, this exercise did nothing to ease the fact that time was fleeting.
