The Rebekahs, originally known as the Daughters of Rebekah, is an international organization and a branch of the International Order of Oddfellows (IOOF), with a focus on service. Initially founded in 1851 there was no formal structure. Rebekah Degrees were conferred upon wives and daughters of Odd-fellow members but were solely honorary awards. With this change, the women were able to choose their own officers, raise funds and carry out charitable endeavours as they saw fit.
