Provincial House is on hiatus

Last Thursday, Ontario’s elected representatives returned home to their ridings as the legislature begins an extra long summer recess lasting until after the October federal election.

Premier Doug Ford’s government adjourned the House for five months – the longest break in almost 25 years. Awesome – that means our elected officials will be spending time with ‘us’, working directly with the people that elected them. We will have their undivided attention for at least part of the five months, after all, they are on a ‘break’.
