Saturday, Sept 23 – After tying their first game of the season, the Port Hope Panthers now have added a W to their record after convincingly defeating the Amherstview Jets 7-2 at the Jack Burger Complex. The Panthers’ win was paced by a hat-trick from Josh Sainthill. Sainthill also tallied an assist for a four-point night. The one-sided contest saw Port Hope fire 51 shots on Amherstview goaler, Marc-Olivier Robert – a member of last year’s edition of the Clarington Eagles.
