It has been said that “A healthy economy and healthy community must be on the same side of the coin. You can’t have one without the other. The greatest asset of any community, is simply people who care.” This is one asset our community has in abundance.
Great communities don’t just happen. They are created, nurtured and sustained by caring, connected and involved residents.
This all happens through collaboration and having a connection with each other. The Orono Community Collective, the Orono Events Committee and the Orono Downtown Business Association BIA working alongside with the Heather Rebekah Lodge, Orono Horticultural Society, Orono Agricultural Society, Orono Armature Athletic Association and the Orono Figure Skating Club are all the shining examples of this community connection.
