Photo by Frances Mallon Orono artist Debra Bateman poses with one of her signature acrylic works entitled ‘Crickets and Frogs by a Marsh’ at the premiere of her art exhibition at A Gift of Art last Sunday. The show is entitled ‘The Colours I See’, and features 24 paintings from her collected works. The show runs until May 19, and from there goes on the road to Port Perry Town Hall, and then to Niagara on the Lake for her first juried show. She states, “every picture has a story.” All of them are intriguing. Make a point of checking out the exhibit and see what colours you see.
