Orono, Newcastle stopped in quest for OMHA Finals
The Orono Leafs and Newcastle Stars spent the last couple of weeks in a six team showdown vying for entry to the Tier 2 OMHA Provincial Finals. The winner of the group would gain entry to the Finals tournament to be played in Barrie Mar 31- Apr 2. The Durham Crusaders topped the group with a 5-0-0 record. Newcastle and Orono fell out of contention with losses in the early games.
