Marjorie Lowery, one of the founding members of the Orono Figure Skating Club in 1947, met Kurt Browning last Thursday when he was in town for the day. Marjorie was delighted to meet Kurt but didn’t hold back voicing her disapproval with the cancellation of ‘Figures’ during competitions. Little known fact: Marjorie designed the OFSC logo when she was in high school. Yes, the very same logo used to this day.
