Natural watering system

Todd Brant was on site at the Newcastle Community Garden this week to start the building of our natural watering system. The frame will be 20 feet by 60 feet, with the roof designed to harvest rainwater, and flow it into large containers. A gravity flow will enable gardeners to water their plots when needed, with less effort, and more focus on our environmentally friendly philosophy. The current water source is the Diane Hamre Recreation Centre, next door, with a long haul up the hill to the garden. Watch the progress of this interesting watering system initiative as it progresses. Looking at completion and use in spring of 2024.
