The Newcastle Volunteer Firefighters Association split the proceeds from their Harvest Festival Pancake Breakfast be-tween Durham Hospice – Clarington and the Clarington East Food Bank. On hand from Hospice to receive their cheque of $2025 were board members Leo Blindenbach and Marian Timmermans (centre left). Coordinator Susan Pascoe (centre) and Rev. Mary-Jane Hobden (far left) represented the foodbank. Fire Captain Ray Beenan (back) and Volunteer Firefighter Chris Vanhaverbeke were thrilled to present the donations to both agencies. The Firefighter’s Association would like to thank the businesses who donated to the pancake breakfast making this community assistance possible.
