It can happen to anyone

Every so often, news shakes a small community to its core. After 26 years of service one of our own has been unceremoniously fired.

This individual has been a constant presence, a friendly face, and a stalwart supporter of everything that makes this place feel like home. To say this news is devastating to the individual would be an understatement.

In a world where change is the only constant, our community has always felt like an exception. We thrive on continuity, on the knowledge that when we walk into certain places, we’ll be greeted by the same familiar faces, year after year.

These are the people who have celebrated our joys and comforted us in sorrow, who know our kids’ names and our coffee orders by heart. For over two decades, this now former employee was one of those faces. She wasn’t just a worker – she was a friend, a confidante, and, for many, she was family.
