In person or remote learning?

After months of ambiguity the Ontario government released its plan for back to school. The plan calls for elementary students to return to school full-time, five days a week, up to Grade 8. In secondary schools in most of the province, students will be in class part-time; cohorts of about 15 students will attend in-person classes half the time.

However, some boards — including our two, Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPR) and Peterborough Victoria Northumberland Clarington Catholic District School Board (PVNC), that have mostly been spared serious COVID-19 outbreaks will be allowed to open their high schools full-time.

Both KPR and PVNC are expected to release their return to school plans this week.
