Karen Elizabeth Lee, 75, a resident of Leskard in the 50’s/60’s, has just finished her second memoir The Village that Betrayed Its Children. It is the story of a crime that was committed by a teacher in the two-room village school. He assaulted nearly all the female students, but was never brought to justice – in fact, he was protected and allowed to continue teaching.
