Well Monday night was my inaugural Candidates Debate. Truth – it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. Definitely a learning curve. But hey, it was the only game in town and I thought it went reasonably well.
Opportunities to vet candidates are few and far between these days. It is important for candidates to attend and it gives the voter an opportunity to check out candidates on how much they are familiar with the issues and how well they can think on their feet and come up with solutions.
You have seen ads for candidates in the paper, and maybe you’ll get a flier in the mail or card at your door – all pieces spun by them. If you are lucky, you may even see one on your doorstep.
