Luke Beerda took first prize for kids age 10-15 . Beerda won for his story titled The Bright Light, about a young boy finding a rocket from the future disguised as a time machine. Both winners are in grade 6 at Knox Christian School.
Elizabeth Quinn Baxter took home second place for kids age 10-15 with her story The Dangerous Demise about a girl and her best friend who stumble across a dead body in a forbidden forest. Read their stories in the May 20 edition.
