Eight weeks, 170,000 km and a cache of memories added up to the trip of a life-time for Hans and Barbara Collmorgen. The Newcastle couple set out in mid July to head up to the 745 km long Dempster Highway and travel it to its northernmost point at Inuvik, then connect with the Inuvik Tuktoyaktuk Highway. Destination, the shores of the Arctic Ocean. This was a dream for Hans. They arrived back home just after Labour Day, with many stories to tell.
