April 13, 2020 – Durham Region had 368 reported confirmed cases, 124 of those were resolved and there had been 22 deaths. In Clarington, we had 37 confirmed cases, 14 resolved and five deaths from COVID-19.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2020 Premier Doug Ford extended the province’s state of emergency by 28 days. Life for some was at a standstill, while front line workers were facing a frightening new normal.
A year later we are on our third state of emergency and third stay-at-home order.
April 13, 2021 – 16,744 confirmed cases (to date) in Durham Region, 14,367 cases resolved and 311 deaths. In Clarington, we have had 1,324 confirmed cases, 1,101 cases resolved and 17 deaths.
