Clare W. Vinson, Local Composer

Described as an old Orono boy, Clare W. Vinson made a name for himself as a composer in Toronto during the early half of the 20th century. He was a former student of the Orono School, and was taught piano by his aunt Mrs. Thomas Somerville. It is written in the Times that he owes his skill on the keys to her strictly ensuring that he practised routinely while he was young.
