Cashless – for better or worse And so it begins.

Despite the exclusion of vulnerable groups; privacy concerns; dependency on technology; financial system vulnerabilities and economic implications of certain sectors, we are inching towards a society where digital transactions dominate and physical cash is minimized or eliminated.

Like any major societal shift there are advantages and disadvantages to consider. The arguments justifying and condemning the transition to a cashless society are abundant. Whether you are for or against – it will affect you in some way.

Ever had a glitchy computer or a finicky smartphone? Imagine the joy of standing in line at the grocery store, only for the payment system to crash. Suddenly, your high-tech wallet becomes as useful as a rubber chicken. You’re left awkwardly fumbling with your device, trying to convince the cashier that you’re not trying to pull off some elaborate dine-and-dash scheme.
