Bowl for Kids Sake Event at Newcastle’s historic bowling alley raises $10,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington

Hats off to Brad Kelly, Events Coordinator of the Bowl for Kids Sake event, which raised $10,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington (BBBS). The fundraising event took place over the course of four sessions (Feb 22, 25, 29, March 3) hosted at Newcastle’s very own 4-lane bowling alley. Eighteen community teams from throughout Clarington collected pledges and came out to bowl in support of BBBS. Teams included: Newcastle Lions, Clarington Community Services, Clarington Clerk’s Department, BMO Bowmanville, RBC Clarington, TD Bowmanville, Courtice Rotary, St. Paul’s Church, Clarington Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Clarington Engineering, Jodi Hewett, CIBC Newcastle, OPG, Clarington Libraries, Newcastle Shoppers, CIBC Bowmanville, and Courtice Lions. On Tuesday, March 3, Courtice Lions and CIBC Bowmanville were on the lanes. Pictured above is the Bowmanville CIBC team.
