At last week’s meeting the Orono Horticultural Society welcomed guest speaker Ingrid Janssen who shared tips on Smart Gardening for Pollinators. The Fall Flower show didn’t disappoint. There were 59 entries and 11 exhibitors. Pictured are Carol Bailey, who took home Judges Choice for her entry ‘Country Fair’ and Shelley Etmanskie’s Gladioli took Best in Show. A new category, ‘Pride & Joy’ received many entries. The Christmas Flower Show/Dinner is scheduled for November 28, 6:30 p.m. at St. Saviour’s Hall, cost to be determined. Diana Calderwood from Calderwood House will be talking about Vintage Christmas Décor. At the November show the OHS will also hold their judged Photography Show.
