Black History – part of our Canadian fabric

Racial prejudice, historically linked with inequalities in power, reinforced by economic and social differences between individuals and groups, and still seeking today to justify such inequalities, is totally without justification. – from Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Black History month is an awareness-raising opportunity to celebrate Black achievement and activism worldwide and to honour the legacy and the many contributions of Black Canadians past and present.
