On Saturday, July 22 Max, Ben, Ellie, Avery and Norah, known as Newcastle’s ‘All Star Crew’ held their annual Terry Fox Fundraiser. More than just a lemonade stand, the friends also had available homemade cards, bracelets, necklaces, candy pops, as well as, a couple of games. The team has raised just under $3000 so far this year. Their goal of raising 10k ($1 for every person in Newcastle) was met and they are sitting just under 12k (their total from all the years combined). The kids are thrilled! The All Star Crew will be set up at the Newcastle Farmers’ Market on August 17 to encourage people to sign up for this year’s Terry Fox Run.
