The SVMRA is hosting a Model Railroad Flea Market for hobbyists on Saturday, March 14 at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event usually draws a crowd of 300 to 400 enthusiasts looking for rolling stock, locomotives, track, scenery or anything needed for their layouts. As Cabardos points out, “There aren’t many hobby stores anymore, so the March flea market is one of the few places where people can get the things, they need without going online.”
