The Motor City Car Club, not surprisingly started in Oshawa, home of General Mo-tors. Back in the late 1950’s there were two car clubs in the area. The names, The Kontinentals Rod and Custom Car Club; and The Igniters Rod and Custom Club for some of us conger up images of interesting times.

Orono U18 Leafs lose post-season opener vs Kawartha

Wednesday, Mar 1 – The Coyotes, Kawartha that is, came down from the hills and scavenged a 3-1 win in Orono over the Leafs. This was the first game of the Victoria-Durham A play-offs for Orono.

The Orono U11 T2 Leafs played their first playoff game on Sunday, locking up with Clarington T6. There was a buzz in the rink, as a nearly capacity crowd was on hand.

Orono T1 Leafs stumble against Clarington T5

Tuesday, Feb 28 – In their final regular season game of the CRHL schedule, the Orono T1 Leafs were downed 5-3 by the Clarington T5 Thunder at home. Faced with a 5-1 deficit after two periods, the Leafs did not quit in the face of adversity and tallied a pair in the third period. Benjamin Reynard had crease duties for the Leafs.
