Spreading the love one mask at a time

Project: “#SpreadLove, not the virus, wear a mask” phase one is now complete. Volunteers handed out well over 400 masks and collected $346.75 plus almost 40 lbs of dry goods for the Clarington East Food Bank. Our sponsors were the Newcastle Rona Hardware store and the Newcastle Lions Club – Ontario. Summer at A Gift of Art

Anjal Dhillon, the first day camper is welcomed to A Gift of Art’s summer Art Camp by Cordelia Adams, gloved and masked. This week’s theme . “Aloha, its summer” is full of painting, learning about Hawaii and its culture and of course learning the hula.

Advocating for loved ones who can’t

“As we approached Canada Day this year, I normally would be entertaining at care homes and proudly singing our national anthem. My whole outlook on life and people has changed,” says Orono resident Bonnie Wilson.

Wilson wanted to share her story of sadness to help bring awareness to the situation in our care facilities that needs to change.
